Artist's Comments

Along the shore the cloud waves break,
The twin suns sink beneath the lake,
The shadows lengthen

In Carcosa.

Strange is the night where black stars rise,
And strange moons circle through the skies
But stranger still is

Lost Carcosa.

Songs that the Hyades shall sing,
Where flap the tatters of the King,
Must die unheard in

Dim Carcosa.

Song of my soul, my voice is dead;
Die thou, unsung, as tears unshed
Shall dry and die in

Lost Carcosa.

Cassilda's Song, From Act 1 Scene 2 of The King in Yellow.

There's this guy that's always hanging out in the graveyard next door, and let me tell you, he gives me the creeps.

That haunted look is so beautiful. I really love it.

Looking at CArcosa...forever. Poor Cassilda.

Ah, thank you so much. Have you read the story "More Light" where they attempt to recreate the play? It almost seems like you have. I drew my inspiration from that in a large part.

Terrific! She's definitely seen the Yellow Sign alrighty - that infinitely distant expression is just perfect

Have you found the Yellow Sign?

Have you found the Yellow Sign?

Have you found the Yellow Sign?

Heh heh. Thank you so much! I had hoped to capture her attitude after receiving the Sign and before the fall of her city and the Fixing of the Mask. Much love.
